Carrollton, TX  Owners

Southern Shaved Ice is locally owed by your neighbors, Stacy Arnold and Alyssa Beal.  Stacy and Alyssa both grew-up in Carrollton, and still live in Carrollton with their own families.

Southern Shaved Ice first opened a stand next to the Trinity Pharmacy in July of 2016. We offer the softest and fluffiest ice, a huge selection of flavors,  high quality snow cone syrups, sugar-free options, and even dye-free options for our customers.

Experienced Ownership

In the late 90’s as high school teenagers Southern Shaved Ice owners Stacy and Alyssa both worked together at what was then the first-ever snow cone stands located in Carrollton, TX, they were known as Gummy Bear Snow Cones.

The  Gummy Bear Snow Cone stands were located through-out Carrollton and Farmers Branch, but Stacy and Alyssa both worked at the location next to the Trinity Pharmacy together. That is where they found their passion for snow cones, and are excited to be creating hand-crafted snow treats for their Carrollton neighbors once again!

To pay tribute to their start in the snow cone business many years ago at the The Gummy Bear Snow Cone stands in the late 90’s, every snow cone served at Southern Shaved Ice is topped with a gummy bear.

The Best Ice Machine

Southern Shaved Ice snow cones are hand-crafted with the original SnoWizard machine from New Orleans. Stacy and Alyssa used this same type of machine in the 90’s, and know that it produces the finest, softest, and most fluffy ice for snow cones. The quality starts with the ice, and it must be consistently super soft and fluffy for the best snow cone experience.

80+ Quality Syrups

The 80 plus quality syrups used to create the snow cones at Southern Shaved Ice are all sourced from New Orleans.  It is important to Stacy and Alyssa to offer the best tasting flavors, and that snow cone syrups are bright, bold, and delicious. They also offer the most variety of flavors and specialty combinations in the area, and a variety of dye-free and sugar-free syrups. You can actually try something new every day of the summer!
